i am a human being

with human features.

i live in a human environment.

i have a human family

i go to a traditional school, and have human friends.

and yet you see me as an alien.a freak of nature.

why?

am i not allowed to wear hoodies, tennis shoes, or make up?everybody else does.
so why not me?

you are a predator.towering over everyone else. attacking the week. you scrutinize the people like me. peering at us scheming vicious plots to get a message through to us.

an out cast strides past. avoiding the piercing glare you give. she is the prey. you and your accomplices decide that it would be so devious and hilarious to bark out smart remarks her her already shredded self. assassinating her self esteem. butchering her courage. and sometimes... you taking it to the next level. becoming physical. pushing, tripping, shoving, kicking, and walking away with you and your title, joyous and proud of what you have done. what you have told her.

but what have you told her?

that she is just another obstacle in your way. blocking your path. telling her that she is useless. all because she is different.

but what makes her so different?

she is human... you are human. she has her faults, you have your faults.

but maybe she is different. for she has a heart. a heart that accepts someone... not for what their appearance is, but for what they have done. she has the heart to stand up and stare differences in the face. but the damage you have done to her, to us, and our emotions... can never be mended. for your words and actions cling to our minds. stabbing with every glance we get of you.

all because you chose not to accept us. you choose not to take 5 seconds in your untarnished little world, to look at someone without cruel plots in order to end happiness to any one but your self.

how selfish of you

acceptance nourishes our world. keeps it the way it is today. without it, it kills all we have worked for. all we have striven to be as human beings.

acceptance gives. gives a gift that if lost it cannot be replaced. it's non acceptance that steals the person with in you. ripping it apart leaving you motionless on the floor for people to stomp on. it leads to death, broken families, broken hearts, and you, the predator with guilt that you have taken away what was not there to begin with, all with not caring.

so why are so much better than all of us?

how?

give it up. stop living that lie. for our differences make us the same.
